An update from Aggie Weston’s

Dame Agnes Weston’s Royal Charity for the Naval Service has migrated fully to home working but continues to provide pastoral support to serving members of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Royal Fleet Auxiliary and their families. Functioning as members of naval establishment chaplaincy teams Pastoral Workers are available to listen, encourage, comfort, support, signpost on to specialist sources of assistance when appropriate, and provide practical support.

Historically Aggie’s delivered pastoral support through face-to-face engagement within establishments and community centres. Support is currently being delivered through social media, phone calls and existing contacts but we are exploring new channels through which we can meet the rising need for pastoral support.

Any serving member of the Naval Service, together with their family, wishing to benefit from pastoral support is encouraged to follow the link http://www.aggies.org.uk/ to the Aggie’s web site Home Page where there are details of how to contact a local pastoral worker. The Aggie’s staff member will then be in contact to offer the support requested. Therefore, if your organisations come across serving Naval beneficiaries who could benefit from our support, please do guide them towards our web site.
