COBB COUNTY, GA — Cobb County launched its American Rescue Plan Act Community Needs Survey last week, and county officials are still seeking more public input on where its $147 million ARP Act allocation should go.

The online survey is open to residents and organizations through Monday, Nov. 22 and is designed to gather community input on how the county should prioritize the ARP Act money in four different categories:

  • Supporting water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure.
  • Lessening negative economic impact.
  • Supporting public health response.
  • Providing premium pay for essential workers.

This American Rescue Plan Act was passed by Congress in March 2021, setting aside funding for local and state governments to support public health, essential workers, infrastructure measures and to lessen the negative economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The survey will help the county to reflect the community’s priorities in its plan for investing the funds between these eligible uses.
