Anat Cohen Quartetinho

A Well-Being Concert
Sunday, April 14, 2024 5 PM Resnick Education Wing
Anat Cohen Quartetinho by Shervin Lainez
Enjoy a rejuvenating and communal performance event with Anat Cohen, one of the great instrumentalists and bandleaders of our time. “Anat does what all authentic musicians do: She tells stories from her own experiences that are so deeply felt that they are very likely to connect listeners to their own dreams, desires, and longings,” jazz critic Nat Hentoff once wrote. With her Quartetinho band, she invites three brilliantly genre-crossing musicians to explore new musical worlds across numerous global traditions. Expect an uplifting Well-Being Concert that welcomes audience members of all backgrounds to feel right at home.

Choose from a variety of casual and comfortable seating options, with mats, cushions, and chairs all available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Part of: Well-Being Concerts

Scholars and scientists across disciplines are partnering with Carnegie Hall to ask important questions about the relationship between music and wellness. The Berkeley Social Interaction Lab at the University of California, Berkeley, under the guidance of professor of psychology Dr. Dacher Keltner, is partnering with Carnegie Hall to study the experience of live concerts. You are invited to participate in this study of the relationship between music and wellness, whether or not you attend the concert. If you participate, you will complete a series of surveys (for a total time commitment of approximately 90 minutes). You will receive a $15 gift card and also be entered into a drawing for an additional $50 gift card.
