Pac-12 Softball Weekly Awards - March 2, 2021

Player and Freshman of the Week: Carlie Scupin, Fr., IF, ARIZONA (Tucson, Ariz.)

• Led Arizona to five wins at the Wildcat Invitational, where the team finished the weekend with 44 runs scored. 
• Launched four home runs, with a multi-homer game against Colorado State, to highlight 15 RBI over the weekend. 
• Drove in the game-tying run of Arizona’s 3-2 victory over Oregon State. 
• Recorded a hit in seven of 16 plate appearances, scoring six runs. 
• First Pac-12 Player and Freshman of the Week honors. 

Pitcher of the Week: Brooke Yanez, Jr., P, OREGON (Ventura, Calif.)

• Pitched in both of Oregon’s wins on Sunday, allowing just two runs in 10 innings pitched while striking out 16 hitters. 
• Shut out No. 1 UCLA for the first six innings pitched, retiring 11 batters in a row at one point. 
• First pitcher since May 2019 to hold the Bruins to less than two runs while tossing a complete game. 
• Earned a three-inning save against Utah, striking out the side in the final frame.
