MEN’S SWIMMER OF THE MONTH (December 2021): Destin Lasco, So., CALIFORNIA (Linwood, N.J.)
- The sophomore impressed at the annual Minnesota Invitational in early December, earning two wins and a runner-up finish in his three individual events highlighted by a victory in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:39:24, the fastest in the NCAA this season.
- He also earned first place in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 1:41:53, the second-fastest time in the NCAA this season.
- Lasco also swam in five relay events at the Minnesota Invite, helping the Golden Bears to a runner-up finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:05.97) and third in the 400 medley relay (2:48.80).
