The Student Awards celebrate students demonstrating outstanding academic achievement. Faculty members nominate students for these awards, and students are notified by their faculty if they have been chosen as the recipient of an academic award. The awards are then presented annually, in the form of grad shows, year end shows and full faculty ceremonies.
The role of the SSU in Student Awards is to support and recognize student contribution. Our SSU President, Kyle Budge, believes we have the capacity to bridge the gap between student life and post-grad realities. We know this past year, in particular, presented a lot of unforeseeable challenges. Through it all, Sheridan students continued to excel in their programs and rise to the occasion. “Whatever the future may bring, we want to try and ensure that you are prepared academically, professionally, and financially”, Kyle shared.
Every year, since 2003, the SSU has contributed to over 600 Academic Awards in each of the five faculties.
