Washington, D.C. (May 19, 2021) – Destinations International, the global trade association for official convention and visitors bureaus (CVBs) and tourism boards, today announced the Architects of Destination Advocacy Podcast, a podcast for advocates in the tourism sector that shares stories of tackling the biggest issues happening in the travel and tourism industry.

The podcast episodes are developed and hosted by the Destinations International advocacy team. A new episode, featuring various destination organization leaders, will be available each month on the podcast website, destinationsinternational.org/architects-destination-advocacy or and everywhere podcasts are available. The first episode is titled “The Night the Funding Ran Out” and features Jack Johnson, Destinations International’s chief advocacy officer.

“For this series, we want to tell the stories of the usual and unusual suspects in our industry’s history and some key moments throughout destination organizations around the globe,” said Don Welsh, president and CEO of Destinations International. “Jack Johnson and his team have an exciting lineup of guests ready to share their triumphs and disappointments during their careers that will encourage and inspire our members and listeners throughout our industry.”
