In the aftermath of the 2020 election, during which state officials administering elections faced unprecedented challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the trust of Americans in their electoral process plummeted. Restoring confidence in our elections must become a national priority – but it’s in the states where action needs to be taken, as the Constitution delegates the important task of administering our elections to the states.
THE RSLC’S COMMISSION ON ELECTION INTEGRITY
Home to the national caucuses of Republican state legislators and secretaries of state, the RSLC has convened leading policymakers to identify best practices from all the states that have proven their practicality and success, embodying one common principle: they make it easier to vote and harder to cheat. The RSLC’s Commission on Election Integrity is co-chaired by Michigan state Senator Ruth Johnson and Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett.
