Thank you so much for @BookTasters and Dr Rana Al-Falaki for providing me this opportunity.

I could choose from a list of books, but when I saw this one, I knew this was what I needed. No, the beautiful cover had nothing to do with it. It came at the perfect time, because I just fisished school and was about to look for a job.

Although it has some spiritual elements, and I'm not a spiritual person, I didn't really feel spirituality on it until the very end. It was like talking to a very good psychologist. Believe me, I know what it's like. It's like receiving badly needed advices while looking deep inside ourselves to see what went wrong, where it went wrong and what can we do now to ease the pain/pressure/expectations. To not just be, but finally take control over our lives.

But to know what we actually need, we have to know ourselves. And just like everything else, it takes time. I lived 21 years not knowing who I am, always wanting to meet the expectations of my mother. I needed 21 years to start to say no and think about what I want. Now, two years later, I'm still not sure. But I'm in a better place mentally, because I do what feels right, not what others want me to do.
Truly knowing ourselves does not happen out of the blue. We have to work for it. Just like leaving our past behind. For me it was a very long and hard process. But I'm there.
I'm finally looking forward, not back.

In my opinion, this book is a perfect start if you want to work on yourself. The author is an expert.
And to add to the experience, you will find exercises at the end of the chapters!

Also, please take your time with this one. It's not a quick read.

Women Who Want More should be a staple on every woman's bookshelf. Dr Rana Alfalaki has written this book so beautifully, I felt like it was a heartfelt conversation with a friend. Each chapter was full of positivity, while addressing issues that most of us probably struggle with. It was completely addictive to read and easy to process the information on offer and I think this was helped by the summaries at the end of each chapter. I absolutely adored this book, it was just what I needed and came into my life at exactly the right time. I was very grateful for the simple layout of this self-help book. I have previously tried to read so many similar books that have been so much to take in, but your book was different. I took in everything you wrote, and it's cemented into my brain now. This book engaged me from the very first page. I appreciated reading about Dr Rana's experiences as it made even more of the fact that we are all human and we all have experiences that shape us. The quotes at the beginning of each chapter were really refreshing. My favourite quote from the whole book "Each person we meet is our teacher and student". We all have a story, but we are all able to shape our lives into the story that we want.

First of all thank-you to @BookTasters for giving me an option to choose, and Dr Rana for sending me this incredible copy. She is the most humble person out there and very easy to contact. She is amazing.
Before reading this incredible piece of literature, I thought that only good self help book out there is by Mark Manson, but this non fictional book had me on the edge of my seat while reading it.
I laughed, I cried, it made me happy, it taught me stuff, it gave me pleasure, and pain and helped me understand myself better, and made me ponder on the mistakes I have made and how can I correct them. It gave me room to think about the importance of living a balanced life.
The spiritual elements of the book were the best. Being a person of faith, this made me believe even more and the power of it. I wonder why? Why? I didn't read it before. Every woman, Every person in general should read it. This book is capable of lighting the path of becoming something you have always dreamed to be.... 💕

The fact that it was written as though I was having a conversation with the author made it better. There were so many tools and tips that’s I’m going to use in my everyday life. I’ve been trying to find a way to get myself back on the path a set out and this book have brought me one step closer to doing that.

‘Women Who Want More’ is a remarkable item for your bookshelf which is skillfully jotted down by Dr. Rana Alfalaki. Before, I share my review, I am extremely sorry for all the loss she had borne, when she lost her mother and all other disheartening events afterwards, especially the one she faced when she was just twelve years old, not even a teen. BRAVO! Dr. Rana Alfalaki, you were already a super-hero even before healing the world. SO PROUD OF YOU AND YOUR EFFORTS!!
As I always mention that when you are in your twenties, it is the right time to invest in your personality by reading self-improvement, autobiographies and other non-fiction books, as these will help you to harvest the most positive of you in future. ‘Women Who Want More’ sounds like that it is typically designed for women, but it is not. It would help and heal humans of all ages, even kids too.
The book is based on the concept of energy and how it works, how it can be released and how it can be managed by human I different ages and phases of life. As we all grow up, we meet different people, hear and share different thoughts, experiences, vibes and energies but still it is actually hard for us to tackle up with some situations, especially those with which are not just physically engaged but as well as mentally, emotionally and spiritual. No matter, it is about our personal life or growth or about our professional one. We all are liable to communicate, build relations and share an environment with others whilst being connected with them physically, mentally, socially, emotionally and/or spiritually. Author Rana has framed this book in such a powerful way that it will help every individual to level up their thinking, analyzing and decision-making potentials. The best part about her work is this that she has not only defined the scenarios, problems or struggles one could has to cope with living things or humans, but she has also explained about the relations human build with non-living things or objects (food, money, wants, requirements, drugs, bad habits and so on) in an effective way. There are total eleven chapters and for me, the first three plays the crucial part in this book because they are based on strategies that we all can apply in every aspect of our life. She has categorized the relations in the following way:
Relationship – Intimate
Relationship – Social
Relationship – Family
Relationship – Health and Aging
Relationship – Money
Relationship – Fun and Enjoyment
Relationship – Career and Lifestyle
Relationship – Personal Development and Spiritual Awareness
In the above order, how beautifully she has classified the relationship with other people and/or things humans are often dealing with but stressing out. But, with her experience, observance and words you will figure out the challenges you have been responding in a wrong way cause according to her, it is her passion to teach and help other, and no doubt, she has done a marvelous job! She has elaborated different concepts with different relatable examples including her experiences with her patients, which are quite helpful. I really love the idea of energy she has described about and how energies work through channels too. She further stated that there is no good or bad energy. Plus, energy is not created or destroyed but it could only be transformed from one form to the next. However, she wrote that energies could be divided into two kinds: Catabolic and Anabolic, catabolic is destructive where anabolic is constructive and it is so real, whenever we react or respond to a thing we are actually passing on energies either destructive or constructive. She also mentioned about the obstacles we face when we have to forgive someone who is very close to us and how intense it usually feels when we have to forgive people who are close to us and still be a source of harm for us. But, yes, she also mentioned that, “Forgiveness is not straightforward as saying sorry.” This is one of the most beautiful thoughts I read while reading this book. I would rate this book with five stars, as this book contains thought provoking and healthy exercises. Guys make the most of quarantine and see this global crisis as a golden opportunity for your self-growth, self-improvement and self-actualization. The last thing, I would like to mention about this incredible book before I end my review, is the part I read in the beginning of before an exercise, she stated that, “The only rule for this exercise is: There are no rules. Allow yourself to be free.” So be free in all races of life. Love, Noorio. ❤

WOMEN WHO WANT MORE ---- DR. RANA AL-FALAKI

I personally love how this book makes it possible for you to be actively involved in the process of getting more. I assure you, that this isn’t your everyday self-help and no, it isn’t yet another motivational book that you read and toss back on the shelf. As a matter of fact, you need a journal, a book and a pen to take notes and do the action points highlighted in the book.

Consisting of 11 chapters, it isn’t surprising that the first chapter speaks on ‘knowing what you want’ because a lot of times, you think you know what you want but what you opt out for as what you want isn’t lose to what you really want but rather, what others want you to want. Chapter 1 helps you see and choose what you want from career, relationships and all other aspects of life.

Chapter 2 helps you choose an easier path to doing things. You should pay really close attention to this chapter as it talks about how your feelings affect your energy and in the long run, your productivity and outlook towards life. Chapter 3, this is one of my favourite chapters in this book as it speaks on a topic that is important to me. Boundaries - knowing what they are and setting one. If you have a thing with people taking you for granted and you are tired of it, you should read this chapter slowly and learn to create healthy boundaries. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to set boundaries, it provides a step-by-step method to creating boundaries.

Chapter 4 be a leader and be comfortable in your skin and confident in your femininity as a leader regardless of your sphere of leadership. Who says you must approach leadership as a woman from the masculine point of view? Did I mention this is also one of my favourite chapters? Well, I just did. Chapter 6 talks about keeping everybody happy. Do you struggle with keeping everybody happy? How can you keep people happy? Can you really keep everybody happy? At what cost does it come? Find out for yourself.

The next chapters talk about our relationship with food and keeping fit and how it affects our general health and productivity. It helps people struggling with staying healthy and making the right health choices for themselves. It also opens their eyes to the possibility and achievability of perfect health and exuberant energy. After all, “it is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver” – Mahatma Gandhi. Another chapter touches on money, that topic nobody wants to talk about. It speaks on why wanting more money is great and how to be open to having more money. If you read and sit to understand this chapter, you will find out at the end that truly, “the source of all abundance is not outside you. It is part of who you are.”

The next chapter gives reasons why you should have fun, like really make out time to have fun. We create time to do almost all things but have fun. We can barely have fun without feeling guilty or wanting to bury our heads in our computer checking for updates on work forgetting that “life is a perfect adventure; game that cannot be won or lost, only played.” The book ends on a great note with you screaming ‘Yes – I can’ having seen the possibilities that lie within you and how you can reach out to them. Yes, you can. Whatever it is you set your heart to do, yes you can do it and be all you want to be because of a truth, Yes. You. Can.

I can’t really choose my best part of this book; I am torn between choosing this book for its simplicity or the way the author inculcated stories, real life stories of real people to expatiate what is being discussed or the exercises at the end of each topic that makes you participate and involved actively.

I read ‘women who want more’ because of its title, out of sheer curiosity. I wanted to know what is there and available for women who want more. I am pleased to say that this book not only gives ‘women who want more’ how they can get what they want but it also gives ‘women who do not want more’ reasons to want more, helps them know what they want and how to reach for and get it.

If you really read this book, I doubt if you wouldn’t benefit from this book.

WOMEN WHO WANT MORE – RANA AL FALAKI is a practical book for readers to lead a balanced life in six aspects; relationship, career, health, finances, personal development and enjoyment. The author offered information on a full spectrum of these aspects and make a metaphor about a flower with petals,

“You are that flower and stand in the center of it. Each of those petals represents an aspect of your life.”

And how crucial it is to balance these aspects. Furthermore, this book is full of insightful exercises for women. In every chapter, the author prepared many interactive exercises and even provided many resources to help readers. It feels like someone next to me is empathically guiding me step by step to mould a better life for my OWN good.

This book is highkey easy to understand about a journey of self-discovery and unleashing our true potential. For instance, the author said that we should step out of the box of restrictions in life because there’s nothing to be ashamed of. Besides, the author literally made us not to fully put high expectation to others so that we won’t crumble for so long because of them. She said,

“People won’t do anything they’re told to do unless it truly resonates with them in some way."

“Believe it or not, people don’t always respond in quite the same way (with the mindset, ‘treat people how you expect to be treated’).”

So we really need to love ourselves and voice out if there’s something unpleasant people did to us.

In addition, I enjoyed the part when the author mentioned that she wrote a minimum of three things that made her feel grateful every day in her journal and came out with a jar with notepad so that every time someone passes that jar, they jot down something to be grateful for. She asked us to start looking for things to be grateful for, because the list will become endless and we will be more positive to survive our hardship.

There are two my favourite parts from this book. First, when the author mentioned her hardships in life that I think it would be unbearable for us if we were in her shoes. Issues like sexual abuse, divorce, illness and death are surely something else and kudos to her to survive them till the end. Because the author is a successful woman in career, this provides more validity to what she preached in her book on how to overcome losses, pains, and shortcomings. I am very thankful that the author wholeheartedly shared her own worst struggles and highlighted how she survived them. Her struggles, surely I can’t relate a lot but it makes me more empathic.

The other part I adore is when the author highlighted about forgiveness and how we need to forgive ourselves first for every calamity that befalls us before we start walking forward. I rarely found the topic of forgiveness being spoken out perfectly like this,

“Forgiveness is not as straightforward as saying ‘sorry’ and then someone else turning around and saying, ‘That’s okay.’ Events from our past are often deeply rooted and it’s in that forgiveness of ourselves and others that we start to learn to truly love ourselves.”

She also mentioned that when she started to go to painful memories deeper, she realized there are many forgiving needed to do especially to herself to let go the hatred and displeasing emotions. This part gave a new value to me about forgiving and how beautiful it is.

Last but not least, this book is recommended to all people who are deeply in pain and want to be motivated to survive it. I give this book 4.3/5 stars!

I must say, I’m only 23 years old; I’ve had a great life, beautiful childhood, unproblematic adolescence and a pretty good adulthood so far. Which made me realize how blessed I am! And how thankful I am, for my mom, with whom I have an amazing, open relationship with, my dad, who has always been there to tell me I can and I will, my three older sisters that are supportive and listen to me, my friends, who are there, no matter what.
Of course I’ve had my lows and trying times but now I’m not only counting on my own self control and self sufficiency and my people and their experience advices, to face them, I’ll have this book and its words and all of the author and her patients and colleagues’ life experiences, what they learned and how to overcome them.
What’s written in this book, I can’t relate to a lot of its examples but it made me feel so full of empathy! Which is something I think the world is lacking nowadays.
I’m so glad I got to read it, I’ve learned a lot about the author, who I’ll definitely look up to from now on, an example of super woman who leads with wisdom and grace, who shared her story so bravely and overcame everything life had thrown at her, pure resilience.
I feel like this is a book I’ll keep with me forever, like a guideline in case (and it most likely will) life gets difficult in the future.
I feel like anyone who is interested to read this book should dive in kind of blindly, in order to be fully drawn to every word next.
You won’t regret it.

But I’ll quote some of my favorite parts:

“Constantly seeking happiness. Constantly seeking purpose to find that feeling of fulfillment. How wonderful would it be if the purpose and fulfillment was within us and we could tap into ourselves to feel it, rather than pursuing it through externals, be that people, places, or things?”

“There can be advantages to having different groups of friends that don’t interact! However, have you ever asked yourself why those friends don’t mix? Why should other people like each other because you like them and they like you? That leads to awkwardness with you trying to keep everybody happy and not having such a great time. Well, if you haven’t figured it out already, you’re trying to be a different person with each set of people.”

“There is a need here to be brave enough to expose your vulnerability.A need to take off the mask, which you may not be able to do in a work situation, but is well worth the rewards in an intimate relationship. If you do it, and your needs are not met, then what’s the worst that can happen? You always have a choice. You always have power.”

And my favorite: “Nobody makes us feel a certain way.We gain power recognizing that we have chosen to feel that way.”

~ Thank you Booktasters and Dr. Rana Al-Falaki for the chance to read this book and review it. ~

I am so very excited to be sitting here right now to tell you how much I LOVED this book! It’s a self-help book that guides you through the process of becoming more aware and attentive of important areas in your life. Dr. Rana Al-Falaki takes the extra step to lay it all out in very simple explanations and includes optional worksheets and exercises throughout the book if you’re willing to go the extra mile with her.
This book blew me away! When I picked this book, I admit that I judged the book by the cover (metaphorically) and I thought ‘okay another self-help book, another success story leaving out the actual steps’. But this book is NOT that! Dr. Al-Falaki is very thorough about explaining things and making it easy to want to follow along with it and engage in the activities.
Dr. Al-Falaki has been through a lot in her life and shares a quick synopsis of her back story without getting carried away; it’s just enough that I felt connected to her. Her struggles made me realize that just because she had Dr in front of her name doesn’t mean that she’s a regular person. She may be a professional and a successful woman (congratulations to her hard work!) but that doesn’t mean that she hasn’t faced the same challenges that anyone else would.
As a young woman in this society it can be hard to find who you are and what you want, really as any woman in society. Dr. Al-Falaki makes you think about what exactly it is that you want by breaking down some pretty important areas in your life; relationships (intimate, family, social), money, health and aging, enjoyment, career/lifestyle and personal development/spirituality. Starting with some questions under each area to get you thinking about what it is you really want, she also brings a very unique perspective to the table from her upbringing career/personal experience.
I could tell this was a real help book after the 5th or 6th page, want to know how? She called me out on almost every page! I felt like she was actually talking directly to me. One of my favourite lines from this book goes like this, and be prepared to feel called out, I know I did!
“there is actually a difference between putting yourself first and not putting yourself in the equation at all.”
p.g. 53
Wow.
As a people pleaser, I felt like she was pointing her finger right at me. But guess what? That’s my favourite part about this book! It drove me to work at it, to turn to the next page and explore how I can become more aware of myself, my true self.
If there was one book that was a MUST-HAVE on your shelf, this would be the book. I stand behind this book and I highly suggest you read it! It not only opens your eyes to finding your true self, it also shows you so many possible ways to go about it. This book is versatile for all women and finding what they really want!

When I first picked up the book to read and subsequently review, I had it in the back of my mind it's going to be women stuff and about women blazing trails. Being the curious cat I am I thought what an opportunity to dive into the world of women and thier various peculiar challenges and how they surmount them.

I was partially wrong.

Yes, it's geared towards women's problem but generally speaking, the challenges are laid out not just for women alone but also men. In fact, men could do a job of using this piece to understand some aspects of women and more so of themselves too from the numerous insights highlighted in this beautiful piece by Dr. Rana. There is even a chapter for parents or would be parents, women alone definitely don't make up parentage.

For instance, she posits that: "people won't do anything they're told to do unless it truly resonates with them in some way" and that is a fact that in reality goes to both males and females.

Drawing from her own personal experiences and those of her numerous clients and acquaintances, Dr. Rana emphasises the need for us to wake up, practice mindfulness and rising from a low energy level to a high energy level. Negative energy is low energy that begets frustrations. The more one wallows in this energy level, the more likelihood of depression and stagnation. Positive energy on the other hand is high energy that begets exhilaration and fulfillment. The more one focuses on positive energy, the more possibilities of growth and fulfillment. The laws of attraction couldn't be more succinctly explained and it's all in our mind.
"Nobody makes us feel a certain way. We gain power by recognizing that we have chosen to feel that way".

I particularly liked the practical guides and assessment like activity logs for the reader to practically carry out certain activities to be in sync with the point the author is trying to make. I also observed almost a dozen plus quotes from books the author quoted which created an alternative reading list for me. And just when one thinks she has said it all, she goes on to reveal the secrets of making money and having fun/time management while at it. It just kept on giving.

In the end, it's my believe that the best way to get the best out of this book is to first think about the things currently holding us back ( we all have one) from having fun, growth or true freedom. Write them down, juxtapose them with several similar instances in the book, follow her practical guidelines step by step and you're surely on your way to freeing yourself from whatever mental, physical, emotional, etc shackels holding you captive.

What is this book about? It’s an inspirational self-help book for women who want more from their lives and it’s literally a manual that is crafted beautifully to show you how to ask and demand for more from yourself and your loved ones in all the different aspects of your life. From relationships (platonic, romantic or otherwise), work, health and fitness, spirituality, selfcare and so on.
What did I like about this book?
The first thing I liked about it was that it explained a lot of basic concepts, like energy influencers, the different energy levels, where level 1 is victim energy and as the levels go up, the more in control the people vibrating at those levels are of their energy. It gave me The Secret by Rhonda Byrne vibes, but a lot more practical, and when she quoted the book, I was like ohhh, so she’s definitely read it.
It also makes me feel like I just saved some money on therapy because the book has practical exercises that you can do to figure out what you’ve been lacking in different aspects of your life.
It also explains and breaks down a lot of things that I have had to figure out for myself since I started adulting. It would have saved me a lot of time, and pain, if someone had just handed me all this information in one place, especially the parts about beliefs that we may have inherited from parents and family, and how we should examine those beliefs and decide if they still serve us, and if they do not? Into the bin they go.
I personally struggled with forgiving my family, at the beginning of my adult life, I was the middle child and it always felt like my feelings and struggles were dismissed as me being dramatic and sensitive, and I couldn’t begin to tell you how that affected me. I built a tall solid wall to guard my feelings, and I felt a lot of anger and resentment towards my mom and older sisters, and it took me getting into spirituality and self help books to start to deconstruct those feelings and start to take back power over my life.
It also gives great money and financial advice. And I know it must have taken a lot of conscious vulnerability to write this book, because the author told us the most painful parts of her life story, and I really appreciated that. More women would relate with her story than she thinks.
I thought the quotes at the beginning of each chapter were really profound.
All in all, I definitely would recommend this book for women all over the world. There is literally life saving information in this book.

The book title and the summary are enough to tell you what it is about. Although I will tell you what makes it stand out from the other self help books I've read.

One Word Review: Helpful

Short Review:
In the other books, you get to understand what's wrong, you might even know how to help yourself but do you actually practice it? Most of us don't.
But this book is written in such a way that you'll have to practice it too, courtesy the exercises given at the end of each chapter.
It's a book written by a busy women for other busy women/people.

Detailed Review:
In the 11 chapters that are there in the book, Rana ma'am first begins by a story from her or her client's life, followed by the lesson learnt and ending it with exercises and blank pages to be filled by us.
What I like about this is she lets you figure your path for yourself. She doesn't do it for you. But she does show you how to do it.

I loved the first 3 chapters which talked about the basic concepts of how to live a balanced life and I loved the exercises too. She also talks about core energy, which is the central theme of the book.

Even though there are a few things, in the later chapters of the book which I don't quite agree with, (maybe due to my personal beliefs) still, this book is worth a read.

Her book is also like a quick summary of some other help books. She has a lot of recommendations in it, and has in a clever way incorporated them into her daily life.

She emphasizes on the importance of self love, self worth, setting up boundaries, preventing others from trampling over you and of good communication to vocalize your needs/demands/feelings/boundaries.

The author has made it clear that her intention is to help you with everything she has got. She has free workbook pdf on her website along with some audios for guided meditation which help with the chapter end exercises.

Women Who Want More: How to Create a Balanced and Fulfilled Life by Dr. Rana Al-Falaki is an inspiring compilation with more than enough ingredients for a successful life in our increasingly busy, challenging and competitive 21st century life. Dr. Rana Al-Falaki helps the reader understand the purpose and objective of the book by giving a clear and concise outlook about her circumstances leading to her seeking to balance all the energies in her life. A unique aspect of the book is that irrespective of your current point in life as long as you have that desire to utilize your life energies efficiently and still have balanced life, then this self-help book is for you.
With Eleven (11) well structured chapters, Women Who Want More inspires, motivates, equips and empowers the reader to take control of their lives and reach for their potentials. The book has that radiance of hope that transfers from the writer to the reader, no matter what you are currently dealing with, there is hope and help for you inside the pages of this book. What I will want every reader to take note is the deliberate effort by Dr. Rana Al-Falaki to not only just write and talk but to put the reader into ACTION MODE. There are series of exercises to help you implement the things you learn from the book.
My greatest lesson from the book is the power of self-awareness and positivity and how it affects how much balance we can find and enjoy in this ever demanding and busy world. The book gets a 4/5 rating from me and I highly recommend it because it will be worth your time.

This book was a great input into my slef-building process. I enjoyed reading it and at the same time learned alot from it. The thing i loved most about this book is, its all rounded! Pretty much every subject Important in life, health, relationship, money and lot more. It was an eye opener for change! I liked the depth The author dug into on each chapter. I learned alot much about self worth than any other way.
Purpose is the essence of this book. Thats what got me accepting and using it.
The fact that dr. Rana wrote this book from her experience makes is very relatable and gives u the feeling that what is written in the book Can actually be interpreted into real life unlike some other theory filled books. I would like to use this opportunity to admire her strength.
The other different thing about this book is, the exercise paths at the end of every chapter. Those ‘workouts’ made it even more practical and realistic to use The book as a guide.
This book also helped me a great deal on reflection. I saw what my shortcomings are on each subject and now i know in which part i need to work on.
After i was done reading the book, i found my self one step ahead on being grateful and forgiving, i got a clearer image on what i wanted and am doing on all my relationships, elevated my spirituality and I now have better insight regarding boundaries and leadership.
Purpose is the essence of this book. Thats what got me accepting and using it.
All in all, i had a great time reading this book and using it as a personal mentor. Meanwhile, I saw my self changing and improving.

First off all I would love to apploud the author for the success she has achieved after all the hardships she has faced, it would not have been easy. And congratulations for being such amazing, gifted and insightful person.

It's a self care book, which is itself a treasure to behold. It will help you to finding yourself in this chaotic lifestyle and encourage you to sit for a minute, take a deep breath and think of yourself and everything you forget to enjoy and wanted in your life.

The author has a very positive outlook on life, she has shared her personal life experiences and tried to explain the hardships and the power it took to overcome them. It was very touching and relatable.

She has used an effective method to not just talk to us, but actually engage us through simple exercises. The tools helps us to think about ourselves and understand our needs better.

She has a way of putting together a complex concept in such an easy manner, it feels like you are talking to your best friend; humble, strong and to the point.

The thing I learnt from this book is, there are no rules, no boundaries when it comes to your dreams, you have the power to choose it. If you want something, voice it and honour your own needs.

I would recommend this book to not only women but men too, because they should also know what a woman wants.

Women Who Want More is a book that will truly move your spirit and will awaken the Woman Warrior in you.

I admire the honesty of the Author, Dr. Rana Al-Falaki that her book does not contain any exact medical or legal explanations of how we can overcome some of our own thoughts that drags us to the depths of loneliness and feeling of un-usefulness.

The book is easy to read for it literally outlines the topics of every chapter, and expounds it not only through general ideas, but with experiences of other women, we can all somehow relate too.

I love how the Author gave step-by-step procedures on how we can achieve the things that we want, and we need. The Exercise Paths are the best part of the book for me. Because it is not really as imposing like the instructions on the exam paper, but it is more like of a guide on how we can be the best version of our selves.

The book made me fall in love with myself again, and gave me the courage to live boldly. To speak out what I want, to speak out what I need, and to respect myself more. Through the book, I realized the value of myself, and it gave me the hope and strength to move forward.

It is more than inspirational. And I will definitely recommend the book to my fellow women who want more.

I started out reading Dr Rana's Women Who Want More, just to review it. Thanks to @Booktasters and Dr. Rana for the opportunity. Half way into Chapter One, I realized I myself wanted more from life but was stuck and didn't even know it. This book delivers practical ways to break out from limitations, reach out and achieve more in any area of life.

As a life coach and expert, Dr Rana shares her personal experiences and walked us through how she tackled them and became who she is today, an amazing woman, wife, mother and professional who is still breaking boundaries while living a balanced life (I am able to know this even though we haven't met from the honest words she wrote).

Written as though she were present or having one-on-one session with you, I personally enjoyed reading and performing the task included at the end of each chapter. Her words were direct, honest and motivating.

The title may suggest only women should read it, I however highly recommend this book to anyone, in any phase of life who is struggling to create a balance and achieve more but is clueless and may not afford a therapy, to purchase, read, apply and live the life you desire with the help of this life changing book.
A must read.

*an honest review of Women Who Want More in exchange of a free copy of the book*

..
If life comes with a manual, then this is it!

Dr. Rana gathered the most essential tips and information we need to know to have a balanced, effective life with lowest amount of guilt! This book came just in time for me, as I was struggling with my obligations as a mother, wife, daughter, personal and social life, work and my personal space!

What I liked about (Women Who Want More) is that dr. Rana shares part of her personal life and experiences for us to grasp what she is talking about, every thing at the right place, reading it was like sitting with a friend and talking about our lives and struggles throughout the day. I also loved that she included exercises for us readers to go through at our convenience to absorb as much information and learn about our deepest emotions on our own, without being judged.

The book reads very easily and holds tons of advice for women in all aspects of their lives. I'd recommend to those struggling to find balance in their career and personal life. I would have liked to know more of the author's personal experiences before having children. The mother/married experience tends to overshadow the themes of resiliency and strength from within. Although it was difficult to relate to the author's discussions of her personal situation, she makes an effort to show transparency that her story is not a moral lesson for others. Readers use the author's backstory to figure out how to apply the principles on their own and in their own manner. My only criticism is that the book seems to appeal to heterosexual couples with children more than any other audience. Regardless, I walked away from Women Who Want More feeling empowered. I'm practicing many of the author's recommended exercises.

Women Who Want More is a practical book for people to lead a balanced life in six aspects; relationship, career, health, finances, personal development and enjoyment. I liked the way the author handled these aspects and make a metaphor about a flower with petals:

“You are that flower and stand in the center of it. Each of those petals represents an aspect of your life.”

This book is highkey easy to understand about a journey of self-discovery and unleashing our true potential. In every chapter of the book, the author prepared many interactive exercises and even provided many resources to help readers. It feels like someone next to me is empathically guiding me step by step to mould a better life for my own good. For instance, the author said that we should step out of the box of restrictions in life because there's nothing to be ashamed of. Besides, the author literally made us not to fully put high expectation to others so that we won't crumble for so long because of them.

One word for the book - wholesome.
The book begins with the very basics that is understanding what your current thoughts and are and working and building on it and finally growing.
I love how each chapter has the content, some example from the author's life and an exercise at the end. The exercises are what makes a world if difference. There are tonnes if self help books but very few shows steps or have a directing points like this one. By answering or doing thise exercises it actually helps to dig a little deeper into your thoughts and also explore your own beliefs at your own pace, basically a mini psychologists.
But obviously there's no one actually monitoring like in actual counseling session so yes there can be few set backs as well.
So I would say this book definitely is for someone who is on journey to find themselves or understand who they are and work towards the goal of achieving more but using it with caution.

The book contains awesome activities for the reader to participate in, making it so interactive you'd think Rana is sitting right there with you, empathetically guiding you. The exercises are engaging and revealing, and easy to do without the worry of a prying or judgmental eye.

I savoured every page of this book, especially the anecdotes of other women who used the energy model to change their lives for the better. Furthermore, the author is brave to write so openly about her losses, pains, and shortcomings and how she found a workable method of turning her life around. Since the author is a successful leader, and career woman, the book bears more validity. What I liked most is how the author does not patronise the reader to take it or die. Rather, it's empathetic and makes you feel understood.

This book took me a while to finish, but simply because the book is so amazing. It contains wonderful advice, for anyone looking forward to changing an aspect of their life. There are spiritual parts in the book which I thoroughly enjoyed. Each of the 11 chapters contained wonderful points and exercises to help you improve, get better, and like the title of the book mentions, living a balanced life. Dr. Rana has gone through tough times in her life, and she certainly managed to become a strong woman, and inspire others through her amazing, well-written book. The book also recognizes each person's energies, and how to make the most out of them. One of my favourite parts of the books is the quote “Nobody makes us feel a certain way. We gain power recognizing that we have chosen to feel that way.”
This book certainly helped me, and will continue to help other women.

Reading this book felt like a journey of self reflection and self discovery.
I can’t imagine a better time for me to have read it, it was very much needed. I have just stepped my foot in professional life (a month ago) and it has been so overwhelming for me that I started neglecting my personal life; and this book was definitely an eye-opener for me. It inspired me to look within myself, work on myself and truly finally balance my life. I can’t wait to start implementing the advice and see the change myself.
This book is very easy to follow and it covers career, relationships, finances, health, personal development, parenting and more…
In conclusion, a very useful and inspiring book; I would even say that this book would be helpful for not only for women but also men. I'm extremely Lucky to have read it at this part of my life and I highly recommend it.
