An incomplete, unsatisfactory engine rebuild at Arizona Engine Rebuilding in *******, ** on July 27th, 2023 and August 17th 2023, for a total of $10,349.68.Upon picking the truck up we had to immediately return twice over the course of a couple of days because of an Check Engine light. The first time back to the shop **** at AER said it was probably an electrical issue, so he charged to replace the coil serving cylinder #6. The second time the engine light came on **** said it was probably a bad fuel injector, so they charged and supposedly replaced the injector but sadly, later it was found they did not replace it. They assured me everything would settle in and that if there were any issues they would take care of it, despite us being in *****.To date, we have received no resolution from AER despite multiple emails, phone calls, and a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General's office.We live in *****. The truck ran poorly on the journey home. We paid $1,698.82 for a second mechanic, *********************** in ******, **, for a diagnosis. *********************** confirmed that the engine rebuild was incompetently performed, and verified cylinder #6 has very low compression causing the engine to stall, shake, and underperform causing it to be unsafe. They also found that some of the parts that were reported to have been replaced by Arizona Engine Rebuilding were not replaced. We requested at the time of service to receive our old parts and for the shop to take photos, and videos, and show proof of engine diagnostics i.e. compression tests, etc for which we received nothing.I have attached a copy of the invoices from Arizona Engine Rebuilding, as well as a copy of the diagnosis from ***********************.We have lost faith in AER and request a full refund for the cost of the engine rebuild plus the 2nd opinion totalling $12,048.50, as it failed to perform to industry standards. I have attached copies of all relevant documentation to support my request.
