Keely Porter

Keely Porter ends her tenure as the head coach of the University of Southern Indiana women's tennis team after 31 seasons. She has led the Screaming Eagles to two NCAA Division II Tournament appearances and 12 top-four finishes in the GLVC.

Porter is the all-time winningest coach in USI women's tennis program, accumulating a record of 256-274 (.483) overall and a 118-108 (.522) record in the GLVC.

The 2017 season was highlighted in the classroom as the Eagles won the USI Team-GPA Award and was a GLVC Academic Team with a 3.737 as a squad. USI's Kelsey Shipman also was recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association with the Arthur Ashe Jr. Leadership & Sportsmanship Award.

In 2014-15, Porter and the Eagles tied her second highest win total with a 14-6 overall mark and reaching double-digits in wins for the first time in seven seasons. 

During her 12th season, Porter took the Eagles to the NCAA II Tournament for the first time after producing a 12-6 overall record in 2002-03. USI placed second in the GLVC with an 8-1 record.

The Eagles were 14-6 overall in 2004-05 when they made their second trip to the NCAA Division II Tournament.

She directed the Eagles to within points of the GLVC championship in 2004. USI placed second in the conference tournament after finishing 7-2 during the league schedule.

In addition to coaching at USI, Porter is the head pro at Rolling Hills Country Club in Newburgh, Indiana. She is a United States Professional Tennis Registry certified pro since 1988, with 20 years of teaching experience.

Porter, a native of Newburgh, is a 1984 graduate of the University of Evansville with a bachelor's degree in geography and anthropology. As a student athlete, Porter was the number one singles player and still holds the Aces' record for career doubles winning percentage.

Along with her duties in Athletics, Porter was a member of the Kinesiology and Sport faculty.
