Senate GOP Leader McConnell Warns Democrats Against Changing Legislative Filibuster Rules

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) takes to the floor to warn his Democratic colleagues against changing or getting rid of the legislative filibuster, saying, he'll require a quorum for everything and that if Republicans take back the majority there will be consequences for Democrats. "Touching the hot stove again would yield the same results but even more dramatic. If Senate Republicans wound back up in the saddle," he warns. "We wouldn't just erase every liberal change that hurt the country. We'd strengthen America with all kinds of conservative policies with zero, zero input from the other side." close
