Did you know that on the largest island of the lake where the contours of the Lithuanian state can be seen from a bird’s-eye view, a Classicist manor has been standing for more than a century. The manor was built by the Marikoniai – a famous Italian family who came to Lithuania together with Bona Sforca. Later the palace became well known in Lithuania because of the most luxurious and best feasts, which were being organized by the Tyzenhauzai. Not everyone have was given an opportunity to take part in these feasts. By the way, the movie “Hearts” by Justinas Krisiūnas was filmed in Salos manor.

From April 2021 the Cultural and Leisure residence is open in Salos manor. There you will find the works of Rokiškis folk artists and take a walk around the revived manor with a cozy atmosphere. The little ones will be able to ride horses and ponies, swim in the foam. There is also a possibility to take a minibus for a trip around the area.
