As most of you may already know, The Gilmer Board of Education has made a decision for the graduation for the Class of 2020. Their plan is to have one student & 5 people to watch them achieve this milestone that they’ve been waiting 13 years for. Something that was supposed to be PROPERLY celebrated with their class, friends, and family. 
It is our classes right of passage to having a graduation spent with the people who we spent high school with. 
The Board made this decision not contacting any of the seniors to see how WE feel about this decision or what WE would want. After all, WE are the ones affected. Not the public, not our families, not the faculty of the Board, But the CLASS OF 2020. It should be our decision of how we do OUR graduation. OUR moment that we get to finally be proud of our accomplishments, and say goodbye to our fellow classmates. 
This decision is rushed. There is a lot changing. Like the state reopening May 1st. We don’t know the future, so why must we be so quick to make plans.
