Mr Dilly has enriched the learning of more than a quarter of a million primary school children - working with schools, national organisations, children’s book publishers, some of the biggest names in children’s books, and performing at some of the UK’s biggest festivals and literature events.

For over 15 years Mr Dilly has delivered exciting and truly engaging live workshops and shows, inspired creativity and reading with online children’s literacy and history events, and offered free, innovative and educational video teaching resources to primary schools.

Highlights of 2023 included interviewing multiple children’s authors and creatives on the children’s books and authors live stream programe, Mr Dilly Meets; history workshops and shows in primary schools across the UK, performing at Barnes Children’s Literature Festival; hosting the online heats and live final to over 500 schools of the National Reading Champions Quiz alongside the National Literacy Trust; the first Mr Dilly Meets Live in-person Read, Scream, Repeat author event with Farshore Books; the world film premiere of Mr Dilly’s adapation of Zaro Weil’s children’s poetry book When Poems Fall From the Sky; the first ever Mr Dilly’s World of History virtual events guiding schools into the land of the Ancient Egyptians, and a special commemorative anniversary special of Arctic Star with author Tom Palmer.

2024 has kicked off with new Mr Dilly Meets including a special live from the studio Mr Dilly Meets On Location with author illustrator Laura Ellen Anderson, forthcoming Mr Dilly’s World of History events with Tom Palmer about Dunkirk, and the Ancient Mayans, fronting the National Reading Champions Quiz for the fourth year, a new Mr Dilly’s World of History podcast in the works, plus more exciting events to be confirmed!
