Swiftmile Becomes Member of OOH Industry Trade Organization Geopath
Membership to provide micromobility infrastructure company with insights and a network to fuel the expansion of its DOOH offering
San Carlos, CA (March 22, 2021) – Swiftmile, the pioneer in micromobility charging infrastructure and technology solutions, announced today it has joined Geopath, the not-for-profit organization that provides the industry-standard measurement currency for the out-of-home (OOH) advertising industry. As Swiftmile expands its national digital out-of-home (DOOH) ad network, this partnership with Geopath will help Swifmile’s digital ad screens maximize their impact.
Micromobility, including e-scooters, e-bikes, and e-mopeds, is establishing itself as a lasting element of the urban streetscape and a key mechanism for making cities more mobile and sustainable. Micromobility ridership was on an impressive growth trajectory before the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been widely supported by public investments in protected bike lanes and open streets over the past year. With sustained action by cities and a continued growth in modal options, industry analysts predict that micromobility will thrive over the long term.
The micromobility sector’s continued growth will require more safe places to ride as well as new public infrastructure for vehicles to park and charge. Swiftmile’s Mobility Hubs can charge any type of light electric vehicle – shared and personally-owned. Swiftmile deploys Hubs in convenient locations throughout cities, including near transit hubs, within business districts, and in residential neighborhoods. Infrastructure costs are covered by an on-unit DOOH screen, which displays local ads, brand sponsorships, and multimodal transportation information.
“As the market leader in DOOH micromobility infrastructure, we look forward to bringing our solution to as many cities as possible. Our technology stack allows for experiential capabilities, better reporting to advertisers, and increased engagement,” said Joel Martin VP of DOOH, Swiftmile. “With the insights available from Geopath, we can offer our brand clients clear understanding of location and movement of audiences and share additional impression data with our media partners, which will be crucial for our continued success.”
“Micromobility is becoming increasingly valuable not only for advertisers, but for urban ecosystems – which goes hand-in-hand with the innovative nature of our industry,” said Kym Frank, President at Geopath. “We are thrilled to have Swiftmile as a member of Geopath and look forward to working with the team as they expand their DOOH network.”
