Basic PhotoShop & Adobe Lightroom

This course is designed to begin and improve skills in PhotoShop and Lightroom. Each week, students will learn new techniques and build their skill sets. Students will acquire skills that will assist in graphic design and photography. Students will learn how to create a multi-photo composite as well as other skills to help them edit files to perfection. Students will also learn how to process images using Adobe Lightroom, working with presets and basic exposure tools. Coursework includes using PhotoShop skills to finalize photos and designs. The class will consist of a mixture of computer lab lectures and hands-on labs. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to market their PhotoShop and Lightroom services and book clients. Completion of this course will be required before registering for Portrait retouching classes.

Programming with Python 

PCEP™ – Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer certification is a professional credential that measures the ability to accomplish coding tasks related to the essentials of programming in the Python language.

Python is a flexible, easy-to-understand language for beginners. This course teaches the basic and intermediate concepts of computer programming. The course is designed for beginning programmers and will teach concepts of all programming languages. Topics will include software, hardware, interacting with software to produce simple programs using computations and numbers, including objects and graphics, and working with lists and files, functions, and loops. Topics will also include decision structures, Boolean's, simulation, data collection, and object-oriented design. In addition to preparing a student for the certification, this course will prepare students to move on to more advanced programming languages.

If you are getting ready for a career as an entry-level information technology (IT) professional or personal computer (PC) service technician, the CompTIA® A+® course is the first step in your preparation.
