We’re Here to Help: Introducing Fullbay Cares

When times get rough, I tend to be the kind of person who looks for the silver lining.

I’ve found it right here in the heavy-duty community. Despite everything that has gone on over the last few weeks, despite all the unfortunate news and uncertainty, the people in the diesel repair world have rallied around each other, eager to lend helping hands to those who have been hit hard by COVID-19. They’re doing everything from organizing food drop-offs to dreaming up new ways for shops to earn income if they’ve hit a slow period.

So far, Fullbay has weathered the storm well – we were built as a remote company, and we’ve been able to keep executing at the same high level we’re accustomed to – something I’m thankful for each day. We’re very fortunate to have become a pillar of the heavy-duty community, and we’re now in a position where we can give back to that community.

All of us here at Fullbay see giving and helping others as a necessary component of our lives, and that’s why we’ve created Fullbay Cares.

INTRODUCING FULLBAY CARES

Fullbay Cares is dedicated entirely to assisting the heavy-duty repair community. Right now, we’re mobilizing to assist those facing slowdowns or other hardship due to COVID-19.

The virus and subsequent economic uncertainty has affected the lives of millions and left many going to bed hungry. This month, we’re donating to food banks to help ensure no one goes without dinner. Every time a U.S.-based shop signs up with Fullbay in the month of May, we’ll make a donation to Feeding America. When a Canadian-based shop joins us, we’ll donate to Food Banks Canada.

Feeding America is the biggest hunger-relief organization in the United States, stocking over 60,000 food pantries and 200 food banks across the nation. Food Banks Canada operates a network of over 500 food banks and 10 Provincial Associations. Both charities run numerous programs to raise awareness of and put an end to hunger and are championing causes near and dear to our hearts.

OUR PARTNERS

We’re thrilled to announce we aren’t doing this alone. As I write this, we have partnered up with other companies that have also committed to supporting the heavy-duty community in a variety of ways.

You may already be familiar with these partners:

  • Interstate Billing Service provides immediate payment for your invoices, and has simplified roadside payments for many mobile techs.
  • Worldpay makes payment processing easier for merchants around the globe.
  • Find A Wrench connects repair shops with technicians, parts managers, and all the other people who keep shops functioning.
  • American Diesel Training Center takes a fast and efficient approach to training up the next generation of diesel mechanics.

THE FUTURE

There’s a quote by Winston Churchill that I think sums up how I feel about things: “We make a living by what we get; we make a life by what we give.”

That’s exactly the spirit we embody here at Fullbay.

It is not enough to stand by and make the occasional donation. The best thing a person can do for themselves, their community, and ultimately the world is to keep on giving. To that end, Fullbay Cares isn’t a one-time thing.

People will always need help, and we want to be there to help them. We’ll continue to look for ways we can give back to the heavy-duty community over the months and years to come.

Take care of yourselves, and God bless. We’re here for you.
