PCMA's Commitment to Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity

Mission Statement

PCMA believes that organizational and employee success require a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workforce and a culture that embraces and encourages different perspectives. We recognize the inherent value in employing a workforce with a range of experiences and it is our commitment to embrace every person’s uniqueness and to provide a professional work environment where everyone is welcome and treated with dignity and respect.

CEO Action Pledge

PCMA has signed on to the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™ pledge, which aims to rally the business community to advance diversity and inclusion within the workplace. The CEO pledge outlines a specific set of actions the signatory CEOs will take to cultivate a trusting environment where all ideas are welcomed, and employees feel comfortable and empowered to have discussions about diversity and inclusion.

Task Force on Diversity and Inclusion

PCMA has created an internal task force comprised of staff from across the association focused on advancing diversity and inclusion initiatives both within the organization and to inform our external work. The task force is focused on four key pillars:

  • Education and Awareness
  • Culture of Openness and Trust
  • Programs and Policies
  • Accountability and Discipline

PCMA has also organized a Health Equity Work Group comprised of PBM industry leaders to advance public policies that address disparities in healthcare.
