Winemaker Notes

French Blue Bordeaux Rosé is quite simply the belle of the ball. Made from red wine grapes selected and expressly harvested for being made as a rosé wine with a gentle pressing to gain a light hue of pink, with the utmost care taken to preserve the delicate flavors and aromas. With a beautiful robe the color of a pale pink peony, the wine glistens in the glass. The beautiful floral bouquet is reminiscent of lilacs and summer berries, while the palate bursts with bright citrus and luscious strawberry notes.

Winemaker Notes

French Blue Sauvignon Blanc is like a warm breeze on a cool summer night. With its pale yellow color and bright citrusy aromas, you will want to stock up on this refreshing sipper. The wine hails from the Entre-Deux-Mers region of Bordeaux where hillside vineyards are met with abundant sunshine to bring the grapes to perfect ripeness. A complex palate first reveals classic Bordeaux flavours of cool gooseberry and herbal notes, followed by deeper tropical flavors of kiwi, peach and bright citrus. The long crisp finish will have your taste buds begging for one more sip.

Rouge Technical Details

  • A blend of
    Merlot and
    Cabernet Sauvignon
  • Alc 13.5%
  • pH 3.68
  • RS 0.40 g/L

Winemaker Notes

Our French Blue Bordeaux Rouge is estate grown from Perissac, Bordeaux. This beautiful, hand-crafted blend harmoniously blends Merlot with its longtime companion - Cabernet Sauvignon. It is brilliant, deep ruby red in color with intense aromatics that display fragrance of ripe red fruits, think black currants and cherries. The Cabernet gives this wine a sturdy framework in which the Merlot can show off its plump fruit character and abundance of spice...and just a kiss of sweet vanilla owing to the oak barrel ageing. On the palate, this medium-bodied wine offers rich, deep structure, elegant tannins and a soft, lingering finish. A perfectly balanced blend that is a pure pleasure to sip.

Winemaker Notes

The Bordeaux region of France is highly renowned for producing the best wines in the world. A much lesser known fact is that since 1990 the same region has been producing sparkling wines (Crémant de Bordeaux) "Méthode Traditionnelle" which are the equal if not superior to many champagnes and at a fraction of the cost. A huge advantage in this region is that along the banks of the rivers Garonne and Dordogne exist natural caves and grottos which are high in humidity which is ideal for the stockage of sparkling wines. Pale gold color, elegant stream of fine bubbles. Complex on the nose, white flowers, sweet almonds and a touch of wild strawberry. Creamy mousse, brioche notes on the finish.
