To further protect the U.S. livestock industry from the threat posed by highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza, USDA is sharing several actions to help get ahead of this disease and limit its spread.
"Protect dairy cattle from H5N1. Practice good biosecurity following USDA guidelines and report sick animals. U.S. agriculture cannot afford more trade restrictions banning imports of U.S. beef from States where dairy cows have tested positive for avian influenza." Jason Grant, W.G.
